I would like to say that as a member for nine months that I have met and made a lot of new friends at Sparks ! When I first joined Sparks I was unsure what to expect, but it didn't take long to find out. Sparks has a great bunch of R/C members who will go out of there way to help you learn to fly. If you are thinking about learning to fly Sparks R/C Club is the place to go. They have a morning group, mid day, and afternoon, it seems no matter when you go to the field you ll see a new face or one you havent seen in a while.
With all that said I would like to thank the CFI Tom Elder who took me up for the first time and a bunch more. The information he gave me has helped me to learn to fly and to be safe! Also thank you to Chris who took time out of his day with out hesitation to help me on the trainer box and helped me to set my other planes many times , Allen who let me make my first landing (a big day for a new person remember yours), Zack and anyone else who helped me out on the box. Those of us that are new and ask questions and or for help we do appreciate it. We learn by asking or being shown. (Give a man a fish he eats for a day! Teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime! Those of you at the club that train others do have some what of a impact on our life as we (being trained) will never forget some of the things taught, like not to sharp in the turn, dont fly over us etc. Any way enough said . Thank You to all at Sparks Club a really great bunch of nice members. Buy the way how nice is it that we have a really nice R/C Hobby shop close to the field ?? I think its great! Archie's Hobby has helped me with any question I have ever had and most likely you too. Thanks Archie, Allen,Shawn and all the others that work at Archie's for being in Pinellas Park to help keep us flying. Last note a few days ago I called Archie's to ask a question about the direction on the thro of my DA 50 I wanted to start it for the first time and was not sure. I called Archies and talked Shawn! He asked if any one in the shop new and I got my answer and off I went to fire it up. I got four that's FOUR phone calls in just a few minutes to tell me that they told me the wrong direction and wanted to catch me before I started the motor. These guys dont have to go out of the way like this but they do to make sure we stay safe, So again thanks to all involved with Sparks R/c Club, all flight trainers and Archies,
jay masters
